AZAN or ADHAN

Dubai is a beautiful place, and it opens its doors for all those who want to know a place that has spectacular sites and many options. 

Its main attraction lies in its ostentatious architecture and places that reflect in luxury that can only be seen in this part of the world.

I woke up one morning and opened the curtain to see the city. Instead, I saw this man hanging by the window. Freaked each other out!?

Besides the beauty and the luxury of the Emirate, what I found most interesting were the prayer rooms and the call for prayer.

The predominant religion is Islam, and any of the practices it brings are highly sacred and respected by all the members of this community, so much so that during the day, with a frequency of five times, they must practice the first pillar of the religion.

This ritual is called out by the muezzin from the mosque, and it is mandatory amongst the Muslims.  It is to acknowledge God being all present throughout your daily activities.

I went undercover into one of the exclusive women’s prayer rooms.

The call is unpostponable, and if at the time of the call you are busy doing other duties, all things must be stopped immediately because to the people in Dubai, nothing is more sacred than pillars that support their religion.

As a Christian woman, it helped me to reflect on myself, and my relationship with the Lord, and how I should be praying more frequently throughout the day.
