There is a place for women seeking a fresh start in Sylmar, California, and I was truly honored to be invited to help with their important event celebrating women in recovery in all facets at this sanctuary.
This hidden oasis is Nestled on 71 serene acres in the foothills, this sanctuary offers women a safe haven, far removed from the streets of Skid Row and other challenging circumstances.
The Garden of Hope is more than just a beautiful retreat—it’s a lifeline. Here, women are empowered to rebuild their lives, gain independence, and create a stable future for themselves and their children. Through comprehensive programs, residents learn essential life skills, receive guidance, and prepare to step confidently into the world.
I was deeply honored to be at this extraordinary place, just in time for one of their graduation celebrations. On that day, I had the privilege of giving the graduates a makeover, helping them feel radiant with hair and make-up application. Each woman had completed a rigorous program designed to prepare them for independent living, equipping them with the tools to thrive in their next chapter.
The graduation was a day full of emotion, tears of joy, laughter, and moments of heartfelt celebration. Witnessing the courage and resilience of these women was truly inspiring. It’s a place where hope is not just a word, but a lived reality, where every woman leaves with renewed confidence and the promise of a brighter future.
